Meet Bill Obermeyer with Haat Lipz

Bill   Obermeyer   has   been   involved   with   Arabian   horses   exclusively.   His   stallions   Blitzen   of   Pico   and   OB   Blitzkrieg   Bey   were   very successful   in   endurance   ride   competitions,   as   well   as   producing   outstanding   foals.   Bill’s   stallion   KM   Mr.   Bogart   was   a   proven winner at the track and sire of a race winner. Bill   has   put   Arabian   horses   through   their   paces,   having   been   involved   with   the   San   Luis   Obispo   Sheriff   Department's   Posse competing   in   trail   trials   and   mounted   shooting   competitions   while   a   member   of   the   California   Mounted   Officers   Association.   He was   also   a   member   of   the   Search   and   Rescue   unit   and   was   trained   and   certified   in   technical   rope   rescue,   tracking,   quad, mountain bike, medical and equine scent search techniques to find and assist lost and missing individuals. Bill   has   worked   as   a   Volunteer   Wilderness   Rangers   for   the   US   Forest   Service   and   used   his   Arabian   horse   in   the   Los   Padres National   Forest   working   on   trails   and   assisting   backpackers   and   patrolling   in   the   back   country.   Bill's   Arabian   mare,   Haat   Lipz enjoys   cattle   gate   sorting   and   occasional   trail   trials   competitions   when   he   is   not   doing   trail   maintenance.      Obermeyer Arabians   has held   desensitization   and   trail   trial   clinic's   at   their   ranch   to   assist   riders   and   horses   to   build   confidence   in   each   other.   Short   time vacation   boarding   and   equine   medical   lay-up   with   reatments   have   been   available   at   Bill’s   ranch   facility   in   Atascadero,   California, which is only a 1/2 hour drive to trails on the beach in Morro Bay.
